If the patient is referred from a region other than Västerbotten, a national agreement referral/payment guarantee must be attached, and “Fertility preservation procedure” should be specified in the box for Diagnosis/Question.
It is important that gametes are frozen before treatment begins. Even short-term treatment with cytotoxic agents or radiation can significantly affect fertility.

IMPORTANT! Before freezing, infection screening must always be performed for the following analyses, and the test results must be attached to the referral to Livio Umeå.
