How do our patients experience their IVF treatment?

KUPP (Quality from the Patient’s Perspective) is a patient survey in which people who have undergone IVF treatment are asked to share their experiences of the care they received.

The survey covers several aspects of the patient experience, including:

  • Medical care: Whether patients felt they received the best possible care, based on their own assessment (1 question)

  • Accessibility: How easy it was to get in touch with the clinic and obtain an appointment (2 questions)

  • Information: Information about treatment, medication, test results and complications (5 questions)

  • Treatment and respect: Engagement and respectful treatment (6 questions)

  • Participation: Patients’ involvement in decisions about their care (2 questions)

Results from KUPP 2024

In the 2024 KUPP survey, 1,095 women who had undergone IVF treatment and 653 partners responded to the questionnaire. A total of 1,748 people participated.

The results are used to improve care and make it possible to compare patients’ experiences across different IVF clinics in Sweden.

At Livio, our patients’ experiences are an important part of our quality improvement work. Through KUPP, we gain valuable insights into what our patients feel works well and where we can improve. Our goal is for all patients to feel safe, well treated and involved throughout their treatment.

IVF-KUPP is conducted every other year at IVF clinics that report to Q-IVF. This makes it possible to monitor patients’ experiences over time and see how care develops.

Would our patients recommend Livio?

NPS (Net Promoter Score) is a measure of how likely our patients are to recommend Livio to others.

After their visit, patients are asked:

How likely are you to recommend Livio to a friend or colleague?

Patients respond on a scale from 0 to 10, where 0 means very unlikely and 10 means very likely.

The responses are divided into three groups:

  • 9–10: Promoters – very likely to recommend Livio.
  • 7–8: Passives – satisfied, but less likely to recommend Livio.
  • 0–6: Detractors – less likely to recommend Livio.

NPS is calculated by subtracting the percentage of detractors from the percentage of promoters.

The score can range from −100 to +100. The higher the score, the more patients are likely to recommend Livio.

Livio’s NPS results

Between October 2025 and June 2026, Livio had an NPS of 81.

During this period, a total of 2,337 patients responded to the survey after their visit to one of our nine clinics.

A high NPS indicates that many of our patients had a positive experience with Livio and would consider recommending us to others.
